Summer Magic

The Disney movie by that name. Is brilliant.
But also. Summertime is magical!
So I was on Aaron Hatch's blog the other day, and he has his friend Megan's blog. I may or may not have creepily blog stalked her. Her blog is very cute, very fashionable. She takes picture of her outfits and post them with descriptions of where they come from.
Today, I was thinking I'd love to do that! I have really cute stuff, really eccentric stuff that would probably be really funny.
Then I remembered: a good 80% of what I own is from the thrift store. The other 20% is from the clearance racks at the Wal-Mart.
CLARIFICATION: No matter how much Miley Cyrus merchandise is on the clearance racks, and no matter how cheap it goes, I will never ever ever buy it. There was a shirt that was a dollar! And you know how I love my dollar merch! But I refuse to buy her stuff!
I went to Snowflake last night, the Larson family had a party for Kyle's graduation. Bounce house! And giant Mexican marshmallows! What more do you need?!
Plus. I know this might be nerdy. But I just fully loved the party trays of vegetables! At college, I've just been deprived of vitamins. So those trays were very tempting! So great.
Ellie's reception was today. Best friends getting married equals great times, with a tinge of "what the heck is going on?/life is turning upside down."
SUMMER! WOO!

Finals Week

Crazy stuff. Pretty sure I failed my Calc final on Monday, but on the other hand, I got to go to Mexican dinner with Kyle and the missionaries! And then to the Institute closing social FHE barbecue, where much fun was had and much flirting was done. No, not all of it was done by me! Get serious.
Tuesday, Carleigh and I upheld a tradition of going to that secret gazebo! It was lovely. Also we expressed our devotion to our school by roaming the grounds at midnight and sitting under the clock tower. True Gila Monsters, we are. I mean, these are the last times we'll be able to walk around this campus late at night as carefree young individuals! So yes.
Wednesday I had a final at seven in the morning! Ridiculous! After which I hung about all day, until that night when we went to Denny's! For a giant party. THEN! Us roommates got all ready and took our blankets down to the football field and camped out! Yes! We legitimately slept out under the stars on the football field! Hooray!
Today is packing and cleaning day. And then tomorrow is packing and moving day! My parents will be here hooray! And I will be graduating! YES!
Then Saturday, Kyle and I are going to the mountains, and then going to Tommy Lee's baptism! And then I'll say goodbye to Thatch town and ride home to Show Low with my sister.
Sigh. This is crazy! And I literally am going nutsy pants.

Snowcone Magic

Have I yet mentioned my need to convert common currency to its equivalent in snowcones?
By that reckoning, my current pay is only a "small snowcone with cream" above minimum wage. Time for a raise?
Yes. But only so I can buy more snowcones.

Sketchy

Remember how Carleigh and I were going to throw Skechers at sketchy people? Well, last night we had ANOTHER great idea along those lines.
Announcing: To all sketchsters, we will be issuing you Etch-a-Sketches! Don't be surprised if you go to open your car door, and there's a keychain Etch-a-Sketch hanging from the handle!
And no, this method of distributing is NOT sketchy. Not in the least.

Remember That Time?

One time, I was working in the Safford office of my work. I was filing and trying to talk to my boss's wife on the phone at the same time. I opened too many file drawers, and the cabinet started to tip over. I had to catch it with my shoe. My red jelly $1 shoe. I'm pretty sure that's why it's broken now. Delayed reaction to that traumatic experience.
Let me just say, that file cabinet is HEAVY!!

Blah Blah

Question #1: Why in the world is the song Come On Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners stuck in my head? I don't even own that song!
Ah, that's really the only question I have. I don't know why I bothered to number it. However, numbered it will stay!
Onward.
Good news from yesterday:
- I'm going to pass Calculus! Barely, with a middling C. But still! I'M NOT FAILING!
- I took my Chem test yesterday afternoon. I scored a 96%! Bloody brilliant!
Yesterday was a giant cocktail of emotions. I'm trying not to freak out about graduating/leaving Thatch/finals/boys/moving/homework/friends, but when there's that much on the plate? Some freaking out is going to happen. However, the afternoon calmed down a little. It was gorgeous outside, and I basically spent the entire afternoon on the phone! Talked with my mom, with Blake, and with Ellie.
Last night, Kelly B. and I went to the Dairy Queen for ice cream and had a chat about our lives. It was a great time.
Now I'm at work. Of course.
And don't you all worry. There will definitely be more posts today.
